Lou LaMarca

Lou LaMarca is a 2nd generation contractor who comes from a very skilled contractor/Entrepreneur/ Father, Lou LaMarca Sr, who taught him the value of hard work and imbedded in him the sense that it isn’t enough to merely perform a trade, but strive to do it better than anyone else. As a young boy, Lou would tag along with his father and spend as much time as he could on his fathers job sites. It was not just due to him enjoying spending time with his father, he also loved watching projects progress from start to finish. Lou officially got his start in construction at the age of 13 as a labor on job sites during summer break. After high school he quickly worked his way up to a carpenter helper where he learned the importance of “measure twice, cut once” and started sharpening his skill. In all of the years since, his attention-to-detail and commitment to owner satisfaction have been a large part to his success in construction whether in his early days as a field worker and now as a business owner. Lou is the qualifier for all state GC licenses the company holds.

Outside of the office you will find Lou spending time with his wife and 2 daughters, participating in water sports and any other activity that includes horse power.

Marilyn LaMarca

Member

Marilyn LaMarca, wife of the late Lou LaMarca Sr., is the financial controller for the company and loves what she does. Over the years Marilyn has witnessed the continued work ethic of her son Lou and the LaMarca team. Marilyn feels very blessed to be part of the success of the Company . She prides herself on running a company that has a family like environment, but at the same time the Team has an incredible relationship with managing corporate accounts.

Outside of work, Marilyn has a passion for cooking and also enjoys swimming, shopping and most of all spending time with her five granddaughters.

Marilyn LaMarca, wife of the late Lou LaMarca Sr., is the financial controller for the company and loves what she does. David Tranquilli

Since joining LaMarca in 2011, David's passion for the industry has made him strive to continually refine and evolve LaMarca's renovation process. As Director of Operations, he is responsible for the execution of strategic goals that are in line with the core values of the company. Pre-construction planning, creating budgets, scheduling, client relations, and managing all of the day to day operations keeps Dave busy most days. Prior to his tenure at LaMarca, he worked his way through the field performing ground-up multi-family construction in the southeast. With over 15 years of construction experience, it has allowed David to excel at clarifying issues, advocate for solutions, and facilitate decision-making in complex situations.

David is a former baseball player and an overall avid fan of sports, Italian culture, and music. He hopes his wife takes it easy on him as he tries to share his vitality with his two boys; Sam and Jack.

Colin Dedes

Project Manager

Colin joined the LaMarca team in 2013. As Project Manager, Colin's responsibilities include managing the daily aspects of a renovation from start to finish. Colin is responsible for building scopes of work, bid tabs, contracts, managing budgets & schedules. Colin's expertise in communicating with operations and clients ensures projects are completed on time, within budget and most importantly to exceed our clients expectations.
Colin brings to LaMarca 13+ years experience of Business & Project Management and has been highly involved in over 50+ interior and exterior hotel renovations since he began working at LaMarca.
Outside of work Colin enjoys spending time with his wife and 3 kids, coaching baseball and softball. Colin is a self proclaimed pizza connoisseur and king of "leisure sports" which include bocce ball, ping pong, corn hole or any type of backyard barbecue shenanigans!

Jeff Skelley

Project Manager

Jeff joined the LaMarca team in 2014. As a Project Manager Jeff’s responsibilities include Total project management, including pre-bid scope reviews, negotiating vendor and subcontracts, material procurement and scheduleing, controlling budgets, scheduling, and ensuring day to day project team communications and operations remain open and on schedule.

Jeff brings 30+ years experience in engineering, logistics and the construction industry. Jeff has been highly involved on over 100+ projects. Prior to joining LaMarca, Jeff is a graduate of The Ohio State University with degrees in production/operation management and transportation/logistics. He began his career as an industrial engineer with Roadway Express and then went on to work with JoAnn Stores as an inventory manager. Jeff has always had a passion for the construction industry and has been a do it yourself'er from a very early age. He started his own company in 2001 and provided quality construction services to both residential and commercial customers.

Outside of work Jeff enjoys spending time with his family, traveling or having a short weekend in the mountains. He can be found in the woods every fall as an avid hunter and at the beach in the summer

Mike Kutscher

Mike joined the LaMarca team in 2019. As a Project Manager, Mike oversees multiple renovation projects.

As the son of a General Contractor, Mike grew up working in the industry and eventually running a contracting business before moving into Project Management. With 5 years of Construction Management and 10 years of Business Manager experience, Mike thoroughly enjoys taking on new challenges and exceeding his clients' expectations.

Outside of work Mike enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids, woodworking, remodeling, and anything outdoors.

Nicole Mahoney

Purchasing Coordinator

Nicole joined the LaMarca team in 2019 as a Purchasing Coordinator. She assists Project Managers with material procurement, generates purchase orders, and coordinates with vendors on material pricing, orders, and deliveries. Nicole is a 2007 graduate of The Art Institute of Pittsburgh, with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Interior Design. She brings 12 years of design and construction knowledge to the team. Prior to joining LaMarca, she lived in Houston, Texas for 11 years and practiced as a designer at a few leading Commercial Architectural and Design Firms.

Outside of work Nicole enjoys watching dinosaur movies with her son, cooking for family and friends, and relaxing outdoors. She's also an active member of The International Interior Design Association.

Vern Fetters

Vern joined the LaMarca team in 2018. As Project Estimator, Vern’s responsibilities include analyzing project details, architectural drawing requirements, compiling takeoff quantities for SOW’s and material procurement. Vern is also responsible for obtaining proposals, material quotes and production forecast from subcontractors and vendors. Vern brings to LaMarca 30+ years of construction industry expertise knowledge to the forefront of hotel renovations. Prior to LaMarca Vern was a Commercial Construction Superintendent with a large General Contractor and oversaw ground up construction projects throughout the United States.

Outside of work Vern thoroughly enjoys spending time with his wife and children along with his dog. Vern is also an avid outdoorsman, competes in shooting sports and always seems to find himself building something around the house.

Phil Brown

Facilities Manager

Phil joined the LaMarca team in 2015 as Facilities Manager. As Facilities Manager, Phil manages a portfolio of hotel properties and capital improvement projects by fostering an environment of teamwork to ensure that the LaMarca strategy is clearly defined while overseeing performance on projects and meeting the clients expectations of quality.
Phil has over 30 years of experience in the construction industry with extensive commercial and hospitality project management experience. He began his career in construction working for his father, in Southwest Ohio back in high school, laying brick, block and pouring concrete.
Phil is a Licensed Contractor and Licensed Construction Supervisor for LaMarca and is also a Certified Independent Adjuster. Phil graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science degree from Urbana University.
Outside of work, Phil enjoys spending time with his family and friends, hiking, camping, golfing, motorcycle riding and traveling whenever he can.

In 2007 Judy joined LaMarca as an Administrative Assistant. Judy's roles include Owner and Subcontractor Billing in regard to Oracle payment software, Change Order processing as well as assisting ownership with various compliance and HR-related issues.

Outside of work, Judy enjoys time with her husband and daughter making memories while boating, enjoying live music, and watching sports. She's been part of a bowling league with her husband since 2009, however, her average may not exactly reflect the years invested in the league.

Prior to joining LaMarca, she worked at a local School District. Chrissy and her husband have been married for 28 years and have three boys that she enjoys spending time with. In her personal time, she also enjoys spinning class, walking her dog, working out, playing golf, and being outside.
